The word Mount Dhaulagiri is derived from the Sanskrit word ‘Dhawala’ & ‘Giri’ which is translated as “The Great White Mountain”. Mount Dhaulagiri is listed as the seventh highest mountain in the world lying above sea level at approximately 8,167m / 26795 ft. And it is considered as one of the most interesting 8000m Mountain as it has 5 ridges plus south and west faces. All of the climbing routes are challenging, only experienced veterans have interest in summiting this mountain. However mostly all the climbing are done in a normal route – Northeast Route.
The Dhaulagiri base camp will be set up at around 4,750m, and then three high altitdue camps follow before reaching the top. The first camp will be at 5,850m, then camp 2 at 6400m, and the last camp is at 7400m.
