Namgyal provides leadership and steer to the Thamserku group and has recently guided the organisation through a period of significant change, modernizing the core whilst retaining the expertise and loyal staffing that provide the company’s USP. He is very much a hands-on director getting out on trek, working directly with operation team to keep the organisation on focus and stimulate development of new products and services.

Namgyal also works with numerous travel sector associations supporting the development of the travel and tourism sector in Nepal, building international partnerships and strategic alliances with key players in other sectors. This work is not only bringing tangible economic benefits but also strengthening awareness of responsible tourism and ecologically sustainable ideals.
